Mission Creek Week 9

June 15, 2015

Another great week in Texas!

We had exchanges twice this week. First one was on Tuesday. I stayed
in mission creek with Elder Christensen. That was a pretty fun day.
Taught a couple of lessons, they all went great. Elder Christensen is
super fun to work with. Then on Friday we had exchanges with the Zone
Leaders so I went up to Randolf with Elder Tovar. He is from Mexico
and is learning English still so that was a lot of fun. He would help
me with Spanish and I would help him with his English. It was a great
time.

One thing that I noticed this week is how many miracles happen
everyday and how much God really does help in our lives. When you
really look for it you can see how much God loves everyone of his
children. It is really incredible.

We have another person on base who is ready for baptism. He has been
to church the last couple of weeks and he has really liked it. So we
taught him a bit more on Sunday and he agreed to be baptized. So I am
super excited for that.

That's about all the interesting stuff that happened this week. Here's
a picture of me, Elder Reimschussel, Elder Rowland, and Elder
Christensen.

Mission Creek Week 8

June 8, 2015

Well it has been a good week. It has been super hot this week. Only
going to get hotter... But it's not quite at 100 degrees yet so that's
a bonus.

We got the iPad's this week which are awesome. Help a lot with
everything. They make emailing super easy. Elder Holt had a Doctors
appointment so we are currently emailing at a hospital. Then we are
going to explore downtown San Antonio so that should be awesome.

We have been going by a lot of less active members recently trying to
do a bit of a roster scrub. That has been pretty interesting. Lots of
people have moved or just want nothing to do with the church. But then
we also find the awesome people who are super nice and start coming to
church again. It is lots of fun.

On Saturday the stake was helping with some flood relief. So we went
up to MartinDale and did some service with the Mormon Helping Hands.
Floods hit that area pretty hard it was crazy. We had to go and tear
out everything from houses so that they wouldn't get all moldy. It was
sad to see how much those people lost from the flood. But there was a
lot of people there helping so it was great to serve them.

Have a great week! Love y'all!

Mission Creek Week 7

June 1, 2015

This week was pretty awesome! Had lots of rain again. But we get iPads on Thursday!

The baptism on Saturday went great. It was pretty hard to set it up because he is Phase 4 which means he isn't allowed to leave base and stuff. So it was hard to get in contact with him. But everything ended up working and we had an awesome baptism.

On Sunday we had to do splits because Elder Reimschussel was asked to talk during the 3rd hour of church and we needed at least one of us to be at Fort Sam when Bro. Rauchfuss was confirmed. So I went to Fort Sam with Bro. Murkley to watch that. He got confirmed and then he was ordained a priest right after that. It was a good day.

On transfer day we had to be in a trio for a while because Elder Christensen's companion was coming from Austin so he was alone until 5. Not a whole lot happened during that but it was pretty fun. Elder Christensen is awesome. He came out a transfer after me. We also did a trio on Wednesday because Elder Wanlass' companion went to the border so we got to work in a Spanish Area for a day. That was lots of fun.

Basically it was a awesome week!

Have a great week love y'all!
