Great Success! - Marble Falls week 4

This was a great week. It rained quite a bit and was pretty cold but
it was good.

We did exchanges this week with the Zone Leaders and my old companion
Elder Reimschussel is one of my Zone Leaders so I got to go be with him
again for a day. That was super fun!

We were able to find and teach a lot of people this week. There is a
lot of super great people that we have started working with. And most
of them are still Spanish speaking! So we get lots of practice using
Spanish it's great.

We started working a lot with this lady name Paty. She is super nice
and just wants her family to be happy. She said that one day she is
going to make us some Mexican food which will be awesome. Except she
said she likes to use this super hot sauce that she wants us to try.
So I'll probably end up crying, but that's alright. But yeah she is
very humble and just wants to learn so that she can help her family.
It has been really good helping her.

We had to give talks at church yesterday also. They were pretty good.
I'm getting pretty good at giving talks with all this practice I get.
I always thought giving talks on the mission would be super easy
because you have so much time to get ready. Well it turns out you
rarely have much time so it's hard. All I really have time for is to
get a few scriptures and write down a few points then I just gotta
wing it from there. But that's alright it's worked so far!

God is definitely guiding us to those who are need his Gospel.

Another Week in Marble Falls - Marble Falls Week 3

January 4, 2015

Well we had a pretty good week.

President and Sister Slaughter came to our District Meeting this week.
So that was pretty great. They rebuked us a bit but that's alright!

We were able to find a few new investigators this week so that was
really good. We did set a lady with a baptismal date but then she
disappeared off the earth. So we are trying to find her again. I
discovered that there are 2 streets, Ave. U and Ave. S where a lot of
Mexicans live. So we have been able to use a lot of Spanish and even
got a few Spanish Investigators now! So it's really fun.

Everything is going good. We are having a fun time and working hard.
We end up knocking on a lot of doors and one time this Asian lady
answered. Well I spoke to her in English and she said she didn't
understand and so my brain switched to Spanish. Well she doesn't speak
Spanish either. So I decided to try using the only Korean I know.
Turns out she speaks Chinese not Korean.... So that was awkward.

When I get home  I'm probably going to be super lazy the first day. I just
want to take the longest nap ever. I just work so hard everyday that I
just pass out so fast every night. I have never been so tired in my
life. But working super hard has been paying off. Before I got here
they averaged like 3 lessons a week and since I've been here we have
had 10+ every week. So it's been great to see God bless us for working
hard!

Being District Leader is great. I'm definitely learning a lot from it.
I basically am just pretending to know what I'm doing. They all look
to me for guidance and for an example and since I don't even know what
I'm doing I just fake it the best I can!
