Week 4

February 16, 2015

Well this week was pretty interesting. The weather was good most of the week. Was kind of hot but not too bad. And it only rained once. Had to go on two exchanges which was pretty fun as well.

First exchange was with Fredericksburg which is a pretty small town north of Kerrville. So I stayed in Kerrville with one of the Elders from Fredericksburg, Elder Hill. Everything went good. Met some crazy guy who told us how he's addicted to drugs and could go crazy at any moment. So we taught him a quick lesson. Then went to a less active members house. All I remember was when we were planning my companion told me to be careful cause her dog is crazy. And of course the dog was right next to the door... Luckily I could reach over and knock on the door and just barely be out of reach. That dog definitely would have killed us if he wasn't tied up...
Then the next day we met some super drunk guy which was kind of funny. He could not remember anything we were saying and he just kept talking about how much he loves God. So that was interesting.

Second exchange was with the Zone Leaders. So I went down to part of San Antonio with Elder Rasmussen. That was awesome. Elder Rasmussen is great and he showed me a lot of things that could help me to be a better missionary. We taught a family that night. We taught the restoration and so I had to do the 1st vision part. I did it pretty well, but it was hard cause I know it better in Spanish than in English. But it went really well.

One thing I've learned is how not talking a lot is kind of a blessing. Lots of missionaries tell me that I teach really simply which is good. But honestly I just don't like talking a lot so I explain what I need to explain so I can be done haha.

There's 2 pictures. One is a nuclear bomb shell. Thought it was cool. And the other one is me in front of Buccee's. A giant gas station. All those pillar's are gas pumps.. Everything is bigger in Texas...

Hope y'all have a good week! (Trying to learn how to speak Texan)
Love y'all!
